This course requires prior knowledge of programming.

The course focuses on object-oriented design concepts, including implementing inheritance, runtime polymorphism, and abstract classes and methods. Students also learn how to apply effective inheritance design guidelines. Additionally, the curriculum introduces Graphical User Interface (GUI) development and strategies for exception handling.

The course is project-based

By the end of this course, Students will be able to:

• Learn how inheritance makes it easier to reuse and extend code by working on projects
• Use abstract classes, interfaces, and polymorphism to choose the appropriate construct for different programming scenarios
• Implement effective error-handling strategies
• Incorporate Graphic User Interface (GUI) elements into programs to collect user input and display information and results
• Process data received from external file sources
• Utilize various types of collections to organize and manage data
