This unique seminar will take a close look at the obstacles and joys of writing about trauma: How do you navigate the publishing landscape both before and after sharing your painful story with the world? We’ll talk about the many aspects of publishing these narratives, including but not limited to legal questions, editorial choices, finding power in your voice, and how to care for yourself during the process. Through craft lecture, discussion, and Q&A, students will learn how to craft a publishable narrative out of their lived experience and reclaim their stories as their own.
