In this interactive history class, students will journey through major world events, notable people, and historical milestones using and creating a visual timeline. Designed to help students understand the sequence of events and how they shaped the world, each historical event will be added to the timeline in order from the earliest recorded human history all the way to the present.
Throughout the course, students will build their own timeline book, allowing them to explore key moments in history in a hands-on way. Every timeline entry will be accompanied by a small illustration to give students a visual reminder of the events we discuss in class and aid in their recall.
Class Objectives:
- Understand the chronological sequence of historical events
- Learn about diverse cultures, leaders, and innovations across different eras
- Create a personal historical timeline
