Sewing Support -- Thursday 9:00 to 10:55 -- (Susan Clay)
Thu, Jan 23, 2025, 9:00 AM CST – Thu, May 15, 2025, 10:55 AM CDT
Lakeshore Campus
Sewing Support offers assistance and encouragement to all sewists of all levels, from the person who has just acquired a sewing machine, to someone who has advanced skills, or maybe has not sewn for years. Beginners start out by making a very functional apron, but students can bring in a project that they’ve been wanting to do, or one that’s nagging at them to be finished.
This is a fun class, where we get things done in a sewing bee format. Skills taught cover all aspects of sewing, from machine and tool use, to reading a pattern, to garment (or other sewing project) finishing.
People Program has a couple of sewing machines available for use, but students are encouraged to bring in their personal, portable machines. We look forward to working on your sewing project with you.
