Cobb County Probate Clinic Second Thursday - IN PERSON
PLEASE NOTE: Thursday Probate Clinics will be held IN PERSON at the Cobb Magistrate Court. See below for more information.
• Need help with Probate or Minor and Adult Guardianship forms?
• Not sure which form to use?
• Need advice about what kind of probate action is best for you?
Visit the Cobb County Probate Pro Se Clinic for brief advice from volunteer attorneys. The Cobb County Probate Clinic is held in person one Thursday of every month from 9:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M, by registration only. Meet with a volunteer attorney at no cost for up to 30 minutes. The attorney will review your particular situation and will provide brief advice about which action to file and which forms to use in Cobb Probate Court. No attorney-client relationship is established by meeting with a volunteer attorney at the probate clinic.
Availability is limited. NO WALK-INS ACCEPTED. The Clinic serves individuals by registration only. Please register only one person in your party. Once you have registered, you will receive an email with links to Clinic forms for you to complete and submit by the deadline. If you do not have access to a computer, please let us know. Your registration is complete once you have filled out and returned the Clinic forms. It is your responsibility to make sure your registration is complete.
When your registration is complete, you will receive an email directing you where to go for your clinic consultation.
Attendees with completed registration will be able to consult in person with a volunteer attorney on the day of the clinic between the hours of 9:30am and 11:30am. Please note each appointment is strictly limited to 30 minutes. We are glad to provide this free service to our community and ask that you thank your volunteer attorney for donating their time.
Please be sure to send us any relevant documents or information, including copies of Last Wills and Testaments, death certificates, correspondence from the Probate Court, etc., by email to Cathy Waddell (cwaddell@atlantalegalaid.org) or Jennifer DeWoody (jdewoody@atlantalegalaid.org). This includes any documents previously filed with the probate court.
