Documenting the Rigor and Impact of Non-traditional Scholarly Work

Documenting the rigor and impact of non-traditional scholarly work

Presenters:

Maia Linask, Associate Professor of Economics, RSB

Derek Miller, Associate Director of Community-Engaged Research, Scholarship, and Relationships

Meaningful scholarship is rigorous and impactful. Demonstrating and evaluating both rigor and impact can be challenging, particularly when scholarship takes non-traditional forms. This often requires intentional strategies by the scholar of gathering the necessary evidence. We invite UR teacher-scholars to join us for a conversation on strategies of documenting the rigor and excellence of their community-engaged and/or public scholarship. The authors will share some strategies laid out in a recent CCE publication but hope to learn from their colleagues. This conversation is open to scholars of all rank and experience.
