This course is suitable if you have not ridden a motorcycle with manual gears before. 

(A manual motorcycle is one that has a clutch and gears, and so does not include an ATV or automatic scooter.)

2 hours of one on one training.

Suitable if you have NEVER ridden a motorcycle with a clutch and manual gears before, OR have minimal experience and require some refresher training before you attend a BHST session.

2 hours of comprehensive training designed to build your confidence and skill, this session will introduce you to the controls of a motorcycle, how to move off, ride slowly in a straight line and stop safely. Training time includes the time taken for introductions, providing you equipement, briefing and de-brief.

Also covered is riding through a curve, changing gears, use of indicators, when and how to do a “lifesaver” check, riding alternating curves (figure of eight), parking and stopping in an emergency.

We provide the bike, helmet, jacket and gloves if required.

Following completion of the training, your instructor will advise whether a repeat session is required OR that you have developed the skills to move forward and book the BHST/EXPERIENCED RIDER ASSESSMENT.
