Description
Students will have the opportunity to weave a scarf and some samples in an 8-harness twill pattern based on the very popular Strickler 728 and 731 patterns. This class will be a good refresher for planning your project, measuring your warp, and setting up your floor loom.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own Tencel yarn (or equivalent), so we will have a planning session 4 weeks before weaving begins to discuss draft choices and color & design.
- Must be able to warp your loom.
- Students will supply a minimum of 2 or 3 colors of 8/2 Tencel (preferred) or 8/2 bamboo or cotton.
- This project will be woven on the 8-shaft looms and warping equipment provided by the guild.
