Ashley - Batik Watercolor Workshop
Workshops are nonrefundable.
Watercolor Batik is a technique that combines melted wax and watercolors on rice paper that creates an exciting and interesting painting. Your choice of image is traced onto the rice paper with a .05 Micron pen.
Apply liquid hot wax to anything that you want to stay white, just like masking fluid. Use the watercolors to add color to your design and as these areas dry you will brush on melted wax. Once all areas are painted, dried, and waxed, crinkle the paper up to create lines. Shake off excess wax and apply a dark wash of color to the paper. Once your work is dry, cover it with newspaper and use an iron to remove the wax and reveal the beautiful
results.
