Characters & Clay: An adventure in drawing, sculpture, and storytelling
For students 6 - 11 years old
Mondays, 4:45-5:45pm, January 6 to February 3 (no class 1/20)
Taught by Caty Therese
Class fee $111 ($24 per 1 hour class + $15 materials fee)
In this class we'll make words and thoughts come to life through the exploration and creation of original characters and stories - combining drawing, sculpting and the art of storytelling. Students will begin by drawing different characters and then will choose a main character to be the center of the story and other projects. Characters will then become three-dimensional using sculpted oven-bake clay, and a variety of materials will be employed to construct a home, habitat, or other environment for the characters. Each week, a new chapter will unfold and students will the be the authors of this new adventure!
