WISA’s one day professional learning provides participants with a broad range of foundational skills, knowledge and resources to successfully undertake the Wellbeing / Student services Coordinator role in Primary and Secondary Schools. A distributed leadership model within a strategic whole school approach is used and is built into the school’s strategic planning cycle. This is integral to sustaining improved student outcomes. Participants receive evidence-based resources and theoretical knowledge, practice the use of highly effective tools and address real life scenarios to build their skills and expertise. An ongoing support network is also available to participants, including the provision of mentoring and confidential debrief opportunities, up to date information about wellbeing initiatives in schools and access to further tools and resources, including care of self.
