Actorʻs Exploratory
In this class, students will learn acting fundamentals and how to create a well-rounded character through an explorative lens. As a class, excerpts of plays and musicals will be analyzed to explore the facets of a character, their motivation, beliefs, or likes and dislikes! Students will be encouraged to bring scenes to life through scene work, solo and group activities, and the helpful tool of constructive criticism. By the end of this course, the teacher hopes students will leave with an equipped “actors belt”, to give them creativity in the rehearsal room and confidence on stage. Small class of SIX students!
Meets for 12 Tuesdays from January through April. No class on March 18th.
