This comprehensive NRA Instructor Development Event is designed for individuals who want to advance their firearms training career and become certified to teach safely, effectively, and confidently. This multi-discipline training block provides all the required prerequisites and coursework to earn your NRA Pistol Instructor Certification, your NRA Range Safety Officer Certification, and prepares you for Concealed Carry Instructor licensing in your state.
Whether you're planning to launch your own training business, support a range or club, or enhance your qualifications for church safety teams, law enforcement auxiliary roles, or private instruction, this program delivers a complete foundation of instructor-level knowledge and hands-on skills.
Over the duration of this course, participants will learn how to teach firearm safety, coach new shooters, run safe and efficient live-fire sessions, and manage range operations—all with an emphasis on professionalism, student development, and risk mitigation.
What This Course Includes
Instructor-Level Training & Certification Preparation
- All prerequisites required to become an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor

Prerequisites: Basic Firearms Knowledge
Day 2 - 8:00am - NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT)
Prerequisites: NRA Instructor Led Basic Pistol Training
Day 3 - 8:00am - NRA Pistol Instructor Development
Prerequisites: NRA Instructor Basic Pistol Led Training and NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT)
Day 4 - 8:00am - NRA Range Safety Officer Certification
Prerequisites:General Firearms Knowledge (how to load, shoot, and unload) Handguns, Rifles, and Shotguns

Range activities will be at an outdoor facility. Dress for the weather.
What do I need to bring?
- Lunch, snacks, drinks and plenty of water (we are not near any restaurants)
- Target Pistol you can shoot the qualifications with
- ~200-300 rounds ammunition
- Eye and ear protection - Electronic Ear Protection STRONGLY recommended
- Weather appropriate clothing

Our Cancellation Policy at Get Trained Be Ready is as follows:
Our policy is that all payments are non-refundable, but if a student is unable to attend and advises us prior to the day of the class that he or she is unable to attend, we will retain the payment on their behalf for a period of one year from the date of the class as a credit towards any class that we teach in an amount equal to, or greater than, the payment.
However, we limit all class sizes. If you want to attend a later class and notify us after that class is already full, then you will have to wait for another class.
