Coding Lab

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of machine learning with a focus on image classification. Students will build a custom image classification model using Google Teachable Machine and develop a recycling app with App Inventor. The app will enable users to scan images of items to classify them into recycling categories, such as plastics, metals, and paper.

Covering the entire machine learning life cycle—from data collection and model training to optimisation and deployment—students will gain hands-on experience in creating a practical tool that helps users correctly sort recyclable materials.
