Over four sessions, students will learn the importance of layering when working with oil paints. Each week naturally lends itself to each layer: first is drawing, second is ébouche underpainting, and the third and fourth will cover the final top layers. Students will go home at the end of the four weeks with an oil painting of their own, as well as new knowledge on techniques in oil painting to be used for future at-home projects.
