In this one-hour training session, instructors will gain practical insights into creating accessible online course videos that are ADA compliant and support diverse learners. With a focus on improving accessibility for students with disabilities, we will explore tips for designing inclusive digital environments and provide actionable strategies for making course videos more accessible.
Explore common issues with video accessibility, such as missing captions or poor contrast, and discover how to add captions and audio descriptions to ensure that all students can benefit from video content.
In this session, attendees will:
- Identify the key federal laws that govern accessibility in online education
- Describe their key responsibilities regarding accessibility as instructors
- Compare examples of accessible vs. non-accessible videos
- Identify tools to add captions and audio descriptions
