On the Water Euro-nymphing Class with Fred Rowe - Sierra Bright Dot Fly Fishing
Come learn one of the most productive forms of fly fishing: fishing nymphs without an indicator. Whether it's called Czech-nymphing, Euro-nymphing or tightline fishing, this method of fishing puts you in more direct contact with your flies and is a very effective (and fun) way to fish nymphs.
The class will be taught by veteran Sierra fly fishing guide Fred Rowe, and is limited to just 4 students to give you more one on one time with the instructor. This class is intended for more experienced fly fishers and is not an introductory class. Students will need to supply their own gear. Although there are many specialized rods and reels dedicated to this style of fishing, your current 9 ft., 3-5 wt. rod will work if you do not have a Euro-nymphing rig.
Students will receive a detailed handout by Fred in digital format after registration. Fred will supply use of a Czech outfit (if needed), terminal tackle, all flies used while on the water, ropes for practicing knot tying, handouts, a hand tied Czech leader, three Czech nymphs, and water.
Cost is $100 per member.
Note: You need to be a member of Deep Creek Fly Fishers to take this class. Go to our website at deepcreekflyfishers.org to join. In case of cancellation refunds will only be made if another student fills that spot and if the class is full. No refunds will be issued for no shows.
Due to limitations to class sizes and differing skill levels please do not register for both on the water classes this weekend.
