Longarm Quilt Operator Training
Longarm Quilt Machine Operation Training covers instruction on operating either the Gammill Statler Stitcher or the Gammill Classic Stitch Regulated Free Motion machine. Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite for renting our machines. You'll practice on provided fabric, but feel free to bring a quilt for discussion, although it may or may not be used for instructional purposes.
During the training, you'll be instructed on the following:
- How to prepare your quilt
- Preparing the machine
- Loading your quilt
- Utilizing the Gammill Statler Stitcher CAD system
- Operating the Gammill Classic Stitch Regulated machine with manual control
- Unloading your quilt
- Tips, tricks, and valuable recommendations
This time is an estimate, and may fluctuate slightly based on learning styles or quantity of students.
In the event of winter weather affecting class schedules, we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. If there are any changes or cancellations due to inclement weather, we will notify you promptly. By 6 am on the affected day, an email will be sent to all registered students containing important updates.
