This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental aesthetic, social, and technical principles of Indian Classical dance in multiple contexts. Through these classes, students will explore the foundational form of Kathak. Curated for newcomers and those wishing to refresh their knowledge, this course aims to build an understanding and appreciation of these respected classical dance forms.
Bharatanatyam, originating from south India, uses detailed hand gestures, footwork, and facial expressions to convey a story. Our classes will guide you through the foundational techniques, a brief repertory, providing a basic understanding of movement practices in this dance form.
