— Two 1:1 check-ins with Sarah and/or Katie throughout the program (in-person and/or virtual options)

— Personal equipment provided for each registrant to keep (Weights/Mat/Resistance bands)

MORE INFO: There’s no question dancers are athletes as they spend countless hours training both inside and outside the studio as well as performing at an extremely high level during single and multiple show days! The physical strength of a dancer is often times an indicator of the longevity of a career in the performing arts industry. Taking care of our bodies, both mentally and physically, gives us the opportunity to perform for years, even decades, at the peak of our craft, and this is something we take to heart at PDC. We’re firm believers that strength training is best implemented prior to a grueling rehearsal schedule and audition season. This is an 8-week program designed to build strength and stamina alongside muscular endurance that will leave you feeling strong, confident, and ready to take on stages all around the world!

INSTRUCTOR BACKGROUND:

Sarah Hoge has danced professionally since 2006, and she’s been a certified personal trainer through NASM since 2017. Her knowledge for dance and fitness go hand in hand as she’s utilized her fitness experience in both group fitness and personal training for over a decade to keep dancers healthy and in jury free. Further credentials, certifications, and classes include Mental Toughness, PRONatal Pre/Postnatal Performance Training Specialist Level 1 & 2, Motivation, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid, Lifestyle Medicine, and Nutrition.

Katie Walker has danced professionally for two decades, and has been both a dance educator and fitness instructor throughout her professional career. With seven years of both personal training and group fitness experience under her belt, Katie bridges the gap between technical dance training and cross training for dancers, guiding them to a long-lasting career in the performing arts industry.
