Wed, Mar 12, 2025, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
Zoom
In celebration of Women’s History Month, join us for a two-part series on Women’s Mental Health: The Mind and Body. This series explores the unique mental health challenges women face, shaped by societal norms, gender biases, and systemic inequities.
In Part 1: the Mind, on March 12th, we will examine the historical and societal influences that impact women’s mental health, including androcentrism in healthcare, the role of intersectionality, and the effects of societal conditioning.
In Part 2: the Body, on March 26th, we will focus on bridging the gaps in mental health research and care for women, with particular attention to reproductive health and its connection to mental health. The session will highlight opportunities for advocacy and systemic change.
By discussing the mental health challenges women face, we not only shed light on the inequities and discrepancies that persist but also gain a deeper understanding of how these issues shape the way we interact with one another daily. Together, we can cultivate greater awareness, empathy, and action, creating a future where women’s mental health is prioritized and supported with equity and compassion.
Join one session, or both! Participates will receive 2.0 CEUs per credit session.
