The Event: ART NIGHT OUT - Paint a plant

The ultimate thing to paint if you own so many plants you can’t possible fit another one in your house – or you kill ever plant you touch and need a painting instead!

• Choose a plant inspiration photo to work from - learn an easy way to sketch up the design
• Choose your colours and learn how to mix the perfect shades of green for plant-perfection
• Follow our simple step by step instructions to create your unique painting at your own pace

This is paint and sip, the Wild Learning way: Our step by step process makes painting fun and you get to create something totally personalised.

You get plenty of instruction and support so you know how to create your artwork, with lots of freedom to be creative, relax and paint at your own pace while you chat to friends and other painters or visit the bar

Qirkz in the Hunter is a licenced venue with a fabulous bar - so you can purchase wine, beer, cider, spirits and cocktails, soft drink or amazing coffee to enjoy during your painting session - come early or stay late to make it a fabulous night out!

Your teaching artist: Emmie, owner of Wild Learning

Emmie has managed to combine a deep love of art, sewing, singing, flamingos and all things gold into a career as an artist, community arts worker and owner of creative studio Wild Learning. Her teaching style is big on generating creative energy and helping people find their own unique art experience. With a focus on a warm, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, absolute beginners and experienced creatives find Emmie's classes like a soft place to land in a world that sometimes feels too spikey.

Located in the beautiful building once known as the Denman Hotel in Abermain, conveniently nestled between Cessnock and Kurri Kurri.
