4th-6th Art + Claymation - Summer Camp

Ages: Rising 4th-6th Grades

School's out but ARTSPACE is in session. This camp is the ultimate for kids who love hands-on creating! Join Mary Grace and Jarae, who bring years of high-quality experience to the ARTSPACE classroom. Mary Grace will lead students through a variety of art media including acrylic painting on canvas, sculpture, watercolor, and weaving. Jarae will introduce students to stop motion animation using iPads and modeling clay, working in small groups to create short films. Throughout the day, students will break for outdoor and social time. You'll be blown away by the art the kids create by the end of the week!

All projects are specifically designed to accommodate students of all skill levels and can be adjusted accordingly to meet each student's specific needs. No prior art or stop motion experience is needed.

Note: an iPad can be provided on loan during the duration of the camp.

Mary Grace is a certified teacher with a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Texas A&M University. She has many years of teaching experience in the regular classroom as well as the art classroom and also enjoys painting professionally. Mary Grace loves working with children and fostering creativity as art encourages students to be original, challenge themselves, think creatively, gain confidence, appreciate perspective, experiment, and learn history - all while making a big mess and having fun!
