Interactive Course (Minor) Spotlight: Distilled Spirits for the Hospitality Industry (Beverage Management minor)

The interactive Course (Minor) Spotlight will provide advisors with a first-hand look into the student experience in the Beverage Management minor by highlighting the Distilled Spirits for the Hospitality Industry course (HTMT 474, offered Fall 2025).
Advisors will meet in the Beverage Lab located on the 1st Floor of Close-Hipp (inside the HRSM Welcome Center). This event will include a mixed beverage creation and tasting experience. In addition, advisors will learn:
- Description and experiential overview of the Distilled Spirits for the Hospitality Industry course (HTMT 474)
- Description of the Beverage Management minor - how to explain it to a student, what it covers, what the student can expect to learn, key curricular information
*Due to space restrictions in the Beverage Lab, this training opportunity is limited to 40 participants.
