Youth Empowerment: Prevention and Intervention Strategies for Anti-Violence Advocacy (Members Only)
The Network will present the "Youth Empowerment: Prevention and Intervention Strategies for Anti-Violence Advocacy" training on Thursday February 20th, 10am-12pm CST for members only.
This training will focus on empowering youth to reduce violence and build healthy connections through prevention education, intervention, and advocacy. Participants will explore the prevalence and impact of youth violence, effective intervention strategies, and approaches to promote positive development and advocacy.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Understand the importance of prevention in reducing youth engagement in risky behaviors.
- Identify intervention techniques to redirect youth toward positive outcomes.
- Empower youth to advocate for healthy relationships and lead efforts against gender-based violence (GBV).
This training is ideal for professionals working with youth, including educators, social workers, counselors, and advocates for GBV prevention and intervention; or anyone looking to foster safe environments and support young people in becoming advocates for change within their communities.
