Employees must attend the classroom portion in order to qualify for certification.   

For employees attending the class, if they pass the classroom portion, the trainer will set up a time to visit their site and observe your operation of the aerial lift. The lift must be in good operating condition and must be available for use.  

• Aerial lifts include scissor lifts, man lifts, boom lifts (truck mounted and/or trailer mounted), platform lifts, or other type of man lift system.  
• Each employee must provide their own safety harness if operating any type of boom lift.  
• These are NOT forklifts – but are specifically designed to handle humans working at elevated levels.  
• This is not a basic training class – remember you must be a qualified  operator – this is a certification class. If you have never operated a lift before, you may still attend the class, however there WILL be limitations on the certification process.  
• The certification is good for 3 years and satisfies OSHA requirements.
