The purpose of training is to to provide practical and theoretical training for all persons who are required to physically handle day to day objects safely and without injury

• Health & Safety Legislation

• Common injuries and long term effects of poor manual handling

• Assessing lifts using Manual handling assessment charts

• Controlling lifts

• Use of lifting aids

• Practical assessment


This training includes practical lifting and carrying both as individuals and as a team, participants require to be fit and not carrying any injury which could affect their ability to participate in physical activities.
