Slow Stitch Surface Design - Intuitive Fiber Arts

Guilt-free stitching, no rules, just your imagination. Set aside your worries, relax, and take up a needle and thread. This class is designed to help you lean into what pleases your eye and makes you happy. Sewing with intuition rather than rigidity.
Students will use a variety of fabric, buttons, lace scraps, memorabilia, stamps, and various fibers to create designs that appeal to their personal taste, intuition, and instincts.
Students will learn the Japanese sashiko stitching technique. The focus will be on teaching the art of freestyle stitching.
Pamela will show many examples of practical ways to use your stitched items. Pamela brings lots of samples and will teach techniques that can be applied to an array of different mediums and styles of fiber work.
