In this workshop, we will practice engaging in a cycle of instruction and intervention. Through concrete examples, participants will explore how to leverage resources in All Learners Online (ALO) to support planning for a cycle of intervention from formative assessment data.
Starting with a piece of student work, we will identify the students’ assets on our High Leverage Concepts (HLCs) and HLC Learning Progressions. From there, we will write potential bite-size growth goals for the next cycle of intervention. Then we will use some free ALO resources to inform instruction and make a plan for structuring and delivering a cycle of intervention.
We have two membership levels available for ALO: ALO Free and ALO Unlimited. We will be utilizing resources available to folks with either membership. Don't have an ALO membership yet? Register for ALO Free here or ALO Unlimited here.
The last time we offered this workshop we focused on a third grade student work sample. This time we will focus on a fifth grade student work sample using our new Fraction Foundations Progression.Intended audience: K-8 math educators, coaches, specialists, and building leaders
