AZ SECURITY ACADEMY

16 - hour course

Day-1 8am to 5pm will be held at 6640 W. Cactus Rd Suite 110 (Tones & Bones) the Northeast corner of 67th Ave and Cactus Rd.

AZ DPS Armed Security Guard Firearms Training course meets and exceeds the mandatory pre-assignment training requirements. This course is required and must be completed prior to submitting a Armed Security Guard License application. This 16-hour course is designed to teach the novice armed Security Guard the basics of gun safety, marksmanship, maintenance and familiarization, as well as legal issues related to the use of deadly physical force. All training is conducted by an AZ DPS Firearms Security Guard Instructor or higher certification - qualification.

5. Handgun Manipulation and Fundamentals of Shooting
6. Holster drawing and malfunctions
7. Threat Recognition and Judgmental Shooting
8. Written Test

Day-2 8am to 5pm will be held at 4044 W. Black Canyon Blvd. Ben Avery Shooting Facility (Range ???)
