Make a Mosaic Mandala

Mandalas and meditation share an ancient history spanning all religions and art forms. Join us as we explore the meaning of mandalas and make one with mosaic glass pieces. We will create an 8” circular design on a wooden base suitable for hanging. Yours will be a unique expression based upon your own design. You will learn how to prepare the base, how to divide the circle and principals of design. All glass pieces and substrates will be supplied; we will use a PVA glue to complete the mandala in one (meditative!) session and students will go home with a baggie of grout* and instructions for completion.
No mosaic experience is necessary and almost no nipping will be needed. If you have a special stone, beads or a centerpiece feel free to bring it for inclusion. This creative experience will be very relaxing … and you will leave with a piece that holds special significance.
* Students who do not wish to grout their own piece may opt to pay the instructor a small fee to have her complete it for them to be picked up at WAC later. They will be ready after April 16
Potential students are free to reach out to the instructor with any questions.
