Handle Making Workshop (March 23rd 9am-12pm)

Play with handles! In this workshop we will use handbuilding techniques to shape handles that bring character to your mug forms. Learn how to “sketch” handle shapes before even creating your handle to model the ideal silhouette. Smoosh, ball and smear to add ornamentation and personality to your handles. We will also spend time discussing and finding that *perfect* moment for attaching and avoiding cracks! 

Two styles of forms will be available to attach your handles and will be bisqued, glazed and available for you within 3 weeks. Please feel free to bring your own greenware to apply what you’ve learned!
