Planning for small group instruction begins by identifying student assets. Educators can highlight student assets to plan for instructional next steps by using the High Leverage Concepts (HLC) Resources. Using the HLC Resources allows educators to focus on the most critical content and design targeted and timely interventions for all students. 

In this workshop, participants will: 

• Explore student work to engage in the process of identifying student assets and instructional next steps using the HLC Resources
• Learn to structure small group instruction through evidence-based practices 

Intended Audience: K-5 math educators, coaches, and leaders
