The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. Successful candidates will learn how to manage a range of injuries and illnesses that could occur at work and will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give emergency first aid.

Guided learning hours: 18 but 12 for those completing a requalification

Validity: 3 years

Who is this for? This qualification is for those undertaking the role of a first aider in the workplace. The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) has been developed and supports employers to meet their requirements under the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981. (NI 1982)

Pre-Requisites:
This qualification is available to those over 16 years.

Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment methods.

Attendees will be required to demonstrate first aid procedures as they would in a real work environment. This includes providing CPR to a casualty who is on the floor, therefore be physically capable of doing so.
