This course is designed to provide introductory information regarding the operation of a 3 axis CNC Router effectively and safely.  It does not cover more advanced CNC operations.

The course is organized into 3 primary segments with appropriate sub-sections.

 

•       Explanation (1 to 1.5 hrs. Classroom)

•       Theory

•       Mechanics

•       Design Basics and Considerations (CAD)

•       Converting Design to Toolpaths (CAM)

•       Introduction to G and M code

•       Demonstration (1 to 1.5 hrs. Shop)

•       Equipment, Safety Features, Operation and Setup

•       Material Setup and Defining Orientation

•       Toolpath Execution

•       Practical Application (1 to 2 hrs. with Instructor in Shop)

•       Create a design and toolpath, setup and execute that toolpath

  Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course the student will be capable of identifying the parts of CNC Router, the execution of a toolpath and it’s safe operation.

The cost for this class is $35 for Loveland CreatorSpace Members and $55 for Non-Members.
