Menopause Update
Course Overview
This specialised Menopause Update course is designed for healthcare professionals working in Primary Care who are already supporting women experiencing menopause and wish to update their knowledge in line with the latest national guidance and evidence.
The course provides a comprehensive, evidence-based update on the assessment and management of menopause, including diagnosis, individualised treatment planning, and safe prescribing of hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Particular emphasis is placed on applying current NICE guidance, improving confidence in menopause consultations, and supporting women to make informed decisions about their care.
Delivered by an experienced GP with specialist expertise in menopause care, the training focuses on practical application, clinical safety, and patient-centred management within Primary Care.

Course Lead
This course is delivered by Dr Katie Barber, a GP and recognised specialist in menopause care. Dr Barber holds advanced qualifications in Women’s Health and Menopause Care and has extensive experience supporting women through NHS and specialist menopause services. Her teaching combines evidence-based guidance with practical insights from clinical practice.
