April Volunteer Workday
Get your hands dirty while helping care for Deer Lake Outdoor Center!
The Friends of Deer Lake Volunteer Crew is meeting on Saturday, April 19th for our next volunteer workday. Depending on the whims of Mother Nature, we plan to spread wood chips under our new high ropes elements, spread topsoil to level low lying areas where puddles form just outside the boating waterfront, and landscape around our new shed outside Clifton Hall.
We will meet at Halliwell Training Center at 8:30am to share coffee and light snacks and to learn about the work projects for the day. Lunch will be served and we'll finish by 4:00pm. Can't make it for the whole day? No problem! Late arrivals and early departures are more than welcome. Please bring refillable water bottles and dress for the weather. Boots, long pants, and work gloves are recommended. We will provide all tools.
This event is open to all ages but is best suited to teens and adults. Younger children are welcome with close adult supervision.
