Block Printing on Textiles

Join us for a celebration of color while you let your creativity flow! This class will be a fiber arts fusion of printing & dyeing techniques with plenty of room for artistic expression. Learn how to design and carve your own blocks as you explore the art of block printing on textiles. Using a variety of natural fabrics, we’ll add depth to our block printed motifs by dyeing the fabric in some beautiful background colors. An array of printing methods will be covered along with the use of traditional Indian wooden blocks to embellish our textiles. Each participant will be able to create 4 custom pieces. Materials Included/All levels, Adults /Teens 16+

The first class will be on Friday, May 2, and the following two classes will be on Thursdays.
