Age 11-12: INTERMEDIATE MUSICAL         Class # R874

**Pre-requisite: This class is for 11-12 year olds, or 10 year olds who have previously taken our Primary Musical (or Junior Musical) class.**

LOCATION - please note that this class takes place in the Drama room at the Rideau Community Hub, 815 St. Laurent Blvd., Ottawa, K1K 3A7

Showcase date: May 30, 2026

Designed for older children, Intermediate Musical deepens students’ understanding of musical theatre, touching on the history of the art form. Students will explore acting through speech and movement, basic musical theatre dance technique, and individual and group singing. Dance choreography will be taught to the full class, and 1 vocal coaching session will be provided to each student. Previous experience is not necessary, but enthusiasm, commitment and team spirit are essential! Students will work together from September to June, leading to a musical presentation in the OST Student Showcase in May at the Rideau Hub.

Fee: $840 OR 2 instalments - $430 due on registration and $430 on Nov. 15

Fee for January start: $495 OR 2 instalments - $257.50 due on registration and $257.50 on Feb. 15
