DEFENSIVE SHOTGUN SKILLS LEVEL 1
This class is centered around and designed for the homeowner and private citizen. “The Defensive Shotgun" is one of the most versatile and effective weapons available to the private citizen and homeowner. History Has shown that Human conflict has not changed much. In Fact, human conflict still occurs within close to intermediate ranges. A trained user of The Defensive Shotgun will be able to dominate the fight, especially in and around the home. Learn how to properly select and operate the defensive shotgun. This one day intensive class will provide you the necessary skills to embrace the “gauge” for close quarter self defense.

Firearms safety, including considerations specific to shotguns
Historical context and development of the defensive shotgun
Selection of the fighting shotgun
Shotgun recoil control techniques
Ammunition selection and capabilities
Patterning for optimum performance
Shooting technique
Loading manipulations(loading, feeding,
emergency reload, etc.)
Safe storage and ready conditions, including closet ready
Care and maintenance

50 rds of buckshot
40 slugs
Shotgun side saddle or ammo cards
Shell pouch
Eye and Ear Protection
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Food, water and snacks
Long pants
Brimmed hat
Closed toe shoes
Rain Gear (we shoot in the rain unless there’s lightning)
Chair (something to sit on)
