ABOUT YOUR PRESENTER

Mark is Founder and Director of Coach Central International, a UK-based worldwide coach education provider. Mark is an experienced and sought-after international tennis coach educator, speaker and consultant, who has worked with coaches from over 100 countries around the world. Mark previously worked at the ITF and the LTA (UK), and has presented in conferences in over 80 countries, including ITF Worldwide Coaches Workshops, and Gland Slam conferences in the UK and Australia.

As presenter of the 3 workshops, Mark will share his experience, ideas and insight into some topics in coaching, leaving participants with a wide range of ideas and solutions which you can implement into your programme immediately

THE FOLLOWING 3 WORKSHOPS MAKE UP THE COACH CENTRAL INTERNATIONAL 10 AND UNDER COACH DIPLOMA

WORKSHOP 1 - DEVELOPING GAME SKILLS FOR THE RED COURT: BUILDING FOUNDATIONS

Course description: A one-day International Coach Workshop which covers key technical and tactical information to help your young players make a great start in the Red court programme

Course duration: 4 hours on court, including breaks

Course learning outcomes:

• Helping young children to rally from the first lesson
• The 4 stages of the rally
• Developing the foundations of the serve at Red
• The core player competencies to be developed before players are ready to progress to the Orange court

WORKSHOP 2 - THE PROGRESSION TO THE ORANGE COURT: DEVELOPING THE ALL-COURT GAME

Course description: A one-day International Coach Workshop which covers key technical and tactical information to help your young players continue their development when they progress to the Orange court

Course duration: 4 hours on court. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WORKSHOP IS RUN OVER 2 DAYS, FROM 14.00-16.00 ON SATURDAY 13TH AND 09.00-11.00 ON SUNDAY 14TH. ATTENDANCE ON BOTH DAYS IS MANDATORY TO RECEIVE THE ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATE

Course learning outcomes:

• Understanding the new playing environment on the Orange court
• Developing key strokes for the 18m court
• Introducing appropriate patterns of play for the Orange court
• Preparing players for the progression to the Green court

WORKSHOP 3 - THE GREEN STAGE: THE MOVE TO THE BIG COURT

Course description: A one-day International Coach Workshop which covers key technical and tactical information to help your young players adapt to the Green court and the challnges of the faster and higher-bouncing Green ball.

Course duration: 4 hours on court, including breaks

Course learning outcomes:

• Understanding the 'Green Slump'
• Developing tactical skills for the Green court
• Developing technical skills for the Green court
• Preparing players for first years under 12

Attendees who attend all 3 workshops will receive the Coach Central International 10 and Under Coach Diploma
