SPOOLS The Workshop

This is the place to start learning your Quilt Path Program! Starting at the beginning I help you discover all the resources available to you, make sure your set up is correct and Quilt Path is functioning correctly. If you are a new owner, or struggling with quilting a pantograph, this is the class for you to learn and build on basic skills!

We start with the Basics of the Pantograph program, Basic, Power Panto, Advanced and EZ, set up practice quilts and learn why you would use the different modes of Setup. You will learn the file types Quilt Path uses, how to download and catalogue your purchased designs, how to decide on a design for a quilt, what density to aim for, and then stitch out the pantograph on a practice quilt, while I monitor your progress over Zoom. You will learn how to stitch between borders, and when to use the Fabric Compensation, Pattern Eclipse and how to set up an extended width design.

I require you to be working in Version 5, with the latest update, and to have your tablet updated. I will provide handouts you will print and use during the class time on Zoom. There will be stitching time in your studio on a quilt over Zoom, so small practice quilts are required.

At the end of the class we will set up a time to meet again to discuss your success and questions in using Quilt Path. I am a teacher that wants you to be confident in using the program and teach in measured steps to ensure the class follows and understands the "how and why" we do things! You will walk away with all your questions answered. Often times it is the informal discussion of students that help clear the way for better understanding.
