Discover the art of batik, a traditional fabric-dyeing technique using hot wax and colorful dyes. In this hands-on beginner-friendly class, students will stretch their own 100% cotton canvas, create a simple design, and bring it to life with wax and color.

On Day 1, students will sketch their design (simple designs recommended for beginners!), apply hot wax using a tjanting tool, and layer on colorful dyes. On Day 2, they'll iron off the wax to reveal their finished batik artwork.

Note: Students should feel comfortable drawing a very simple design: basic shapes like flowers, fish, or other beginner-level drawings are perfect. No prior batik or art experience needed!
