Friday, July 25th 3:30 - 6:30 Saturday, July 26th 11:00am - 3:00 pm
Location: Warwick Center for the Arts Classroom and outdoor patio area
This was Sharons’ personal idea which she shared with the Board of Directors at Warwick Center for the Arts in 2023. The board and staff are collecting donations and materials for you to come help create Sharons’ awaited Peace Poles Project.
A ‘peace pole’ is a handcrafted monument that displays a message and a prayer, such as, ‘May Peace Prevail on Earth,” - usually in different languages - on each of its four sides. Peace poles can be found all over the world where they serve as a constant reminder for people to visualize and pray for world peace. Join us in celebrating Sharon’s artistic vision. We will have all of the supplies prepared and participants can work together as a group or on their own. Decorate, leave a thought, a kind word of encouragement, a memory, a wish for the peace that we all long for and have hope in (just as Sharon would).
