CBTA Learner to Restricted CBTA Assessment

Progress from your Learner Motorcycle Licence to your Restricted Motorcycle Licence with our CBTA Restricted Assessment, and speed up the journey to your Full Motorcycle Licence.

This is an assessment only. You will receive no tuition.

Once you have a Learner Motorcycle Licence you can move straight to a Restricted Licence without waiting 6 months to sit a Restricted test by completing this assessment. (some conditions apply)

Covering approximately 40 kilometres, your riding is assessed by a highly qualified NZTA approved instructor, in varying road environments, and once successful you will be issued with a Motorcycle Competency Certificate which can be exchanged for your new Restricted Licence.

The assessment must be conducted on a LAMS approved motorcycle. NOTE: It is highly advised you do not attempt this assessment until you have completed a Ride Forever Bronze Course, or have under taken one-on-one proffessional motorcycle tuition before hand.
