Homeschool Troupe: Shining Stars (Grades 6-12)

Shine Bright Homeschool Theatre Troupe

An immersive performance-based theatre program for homeschool students in Grades K–12!

Shine Bright Performing Arts proudly offers a dynamic, age-appropriate theatre experience designed specifically for homeschool students. Our Rising Stars and Shining Stars troupes meet weekly on Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, and culminate in a production workshop, giving students the opportunity to explore acting, singing, movement, and storytelling in a supportive, professional environment.

Shining Stars (Grades 6–12)

Our Shining Stars troupe engages in a more advanced, process-driven rehearsal environment focused on performance technique, character development, and ensemble collaboration. Students work toward a polished production that reflects the creativity and commitment of its cast.

  • Focus areas: script analysis, vocal performance, choreography, and ensemble acting
  • Ideal for students looking to grow as performers and leaders

Culminates in a production workshop of Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach JR

Whether your student is stepping onstage for the first time or looking to refine their performance skills, the Shine Bright Homeschool Theatre Troupe is a space to create, grow, and shine.

What is a Production Workshop?

A production workshop is a staged performance that focuses on the learning process just as much as the final product. While students still perform a full show, the emphasis is on building foundational skills, exploring character and storytelling, and working together as an ensemble, rather than on the technical elements.

Unlike a fully produced theatrical production, a workshop typically uses simplified technical elements (like minimal sets, basic lighting, and some costume elements) to keep the focus on performance development. It's a supportive and creative environment where students can grow, take risks, and celebrate their progress in front of a live audience.

Class Enrollment: $450 per student
