Learn the essential techniques of creating high-quality silicone molds for lost wax casting. This hands-on, 2-day class covers the full process of mold making specifically for wax injection, including model preparation, how to use the mold housing, silicone pouring, and mold cutting. Ideal for jewelers, small scale sculptors, or anyone interested in producing repeatable wax patterns for casting. No prior experience required—just bring your creativity and a master model to mold! From wax sculpted pieces, to dried organic materials like shells, small bones, teeth etc. Students will be provided with a trial kit of silicone (makes up to 5 smaller molds or 3 larger ones), a mold housing that they can take home, and the skills to be able to copy designs before casting! This class is mold making only. No casting in metal will be included. Note: Any items brought in for master molding will be covered in silicone and may potentially be damaged during the process.
