Introduction to Drawing With Graphite/Charcoal
Whether you're brand new to drawing or looking to refine your existing skills, this class offers a strong foundation in traditional drawing techniques using graphite and charcoal. Students will explore the fundamentals of line, shape, value, proportion, and shading through guided exercises and observational studies. Beginners will gain confidence in their mark-making, while more experienced artists will have opportunities to deepen their understanding of form and develop more advanced compositions.
Students are required to bring a 9x12 drawing or mixed media sketchbook. These can be purchased at any local art supply store or online through retailers like Amazon. Canson is a good choice for its quality, though Strathmore is also a great option, especially for beginners.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in this class.
This workshop needs 3 participants to run. If we don't meet enrollment you will be fully refunded.
