Immunisation Foundation Training for Registered Healthcare Professionals
Course Overview
This two-day Immunisation Foundation course is designed for Registered Healthcare Professionals who are new to immunisation practice within Primary Care or preparing to begin delivering vaccination services.
The programme provides the essential knowledge and practical skills required to administer vaccines safely and confidently in accordance with national guidance. Teaching is aligned with the UKHSA National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training and incorporates current Green Book guidance.
Participants will develop an understanding of the UK national immunisation schedules for both adults and children, the immunological principles underpinning vaccination, and the legal and professional responsibilities associated with vaccine administration.
