Course Overview
The NRA Rifle & Shotgun Instructor Development Courses are designed for experienced shooters who want to become certified instructors and teach safe, effective firearm skills to new shooters. These programs focus on building strong teaching abilities, refining coaching techniques, and applying NRA-approved training methods across both rifle and shotgun disciplines.
Participants will learn how to deliver structured lessons, manage live-fire training safely, diagnose shooter errors, and guide students through the fundamentals of marksmanship and firearm operation. Successful completion qualifies graduates to teach the NRA Basic Rifle and/or Shotgun Shooting Courses to the public.

Both of these events will require the NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) on February 16th, 2026 unless you can verify you have had it within the last 2 years.
The NRA Rifle Instructor Development Event training dates will be February 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2026
The NRA Shotgun Instructor Development Event training dates will be February 16th, 19th, and 20th, 2026
Bring your favorite firearms and ammunition for shooting and qualification. Practice shooting qualifications BEFORE you attend this class. If you need a private session to get dialed in, please let us know.

Feb 18th - NRA Instructor Rifle Course
Prerequisites: NRA Student Rifle Course, NRA BIT
NRA SHOTGUN Instructor Development:
Feb 16th - NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT)

Feb 19th - NRA Student Shotgun Course

Feb 20th - NRA Instructor Shotgun Course

Our Cancellation Policy at Get Trained Be Ready is as follows:
Our policy is that all payments are non-refundable, but if a student is unable to attend and advises us prior to the day of the class that he or she is unable to attend, we will retain the payment on their behalf for a period of one year from the date of the class as a credit towards any class(s) that we teach in an amount equal to, or greater than, the original payment.
However, we limit all class sizes. If you want to attend a later class and notify us after that class is already full, then you will have to wait for another class.
